With Halloween in the middle of the week this year, and me being a bit of a homebody, I wanted to share some low-key Halloween ideas with you guys!

Low-key Halloween Ideas

Movie Night

Movie night is an obvious choice, but what’s better than curling up on the couch with a good movie and some candy? Plus you can do this alone, or with friends or a significant other. You can go for scary movie, or just something festive. Or! Binge watch a tv show. I listed several Halloween type movies and tv shows in my recent blog post. Check it out if you’re looking for options for your low-key Halloween movie night.

Game Night

Game night is a low-key way to spend time with friends on Halloween! Pull out some board games, snack-y foods and drinks, and you’re good to go. Save some time by using paper plates and disposable cups.

Spa Night

If you’re spending Halloween alone, this is the best way to spend it in my opinion! Just spend the evening pampering yourself. Maybe make it Halloween themed to be a little festive. My fall self care ideas blog post has some Halloween spa products you could pick up for yourself!

“Gourmet”Dinner

Cook yourself (or yourself and your SO) a “gourmet” meal! Buy ingredients for special recipes and enjoy your evening. My mom used to do fun themed recipes for Halloween, things like spaghetti and “eyeballs,” breadsticks shaped like bones, and other creepy creative things. You could do that too! This is one that could definitely be combined with any of the three activities above, but I think it’s probably too much pressure if you have people over for game night, especially when looking for a low-key Halloween. But, I’m linking some fun Halloween themed recipes below!

Entrees

Halloween Spaghetti (Black Noodles)

White Cheddar Mac n’ Cheese Stuffed Squash <– More fall themed than Halloween. A bit more grown up! But I think the dark colored acorn squash looks a little Halloween-y.

Halloween Eyeball Sub

Mummy Meat Loaves

Shredded Chicken and Rice Stuffed Peppers (Halloween Style)

Snacks

Ghostbusters Green Slimed Popcorn

Jalapeño Popper Mummies

Cheese Pumpkins (Pumpkin shaped cheese balls)

Drinks

Easy Halloween Drink (Green drink with Eyeballs)

Trick or Treat Halloween Punch

Shrunken Heads in Cider

Dessert

Candy Corn Milkshakes

Vampire Caramel Apples

I hope these ideas help you out and you enjoy your Halloween! Let me know if you do one of these, share photos on Instagram and tag me.
